Ecological Urban and District Planning
City districts play a central role in the sustainable development of our society.
Already by now, half of the world's population lives in cities. In 2050 it is going to be 70 percent. This is a consequential development: Cities pool resource and energy consumption, emissions and soil sealing. Hereby it depends on especially future-oriented and sustainable concepts. The need for an ecological urban planning nowadays is beyond dispute and the implementation in practice is complex! We advise and plan the process with our interdisciplinary team, so that the essential building blocks are reconciled and their interactions are observed.
These blocks will be considered holistically and the guidelines for the ecological planning will be prepared:
- CO2 neutral district development
- energy-efficient building with environmentally compatible building materials
- careful use of water
- protection of existing vegetation
- implementation of greening concepts
- waste prevention
- green transport planning
- costs
Due to different circumstances in the various districts, there are no sample solutions for the ecological city planning. The use of energy, water, open spaces and building materials is always an individual evaluation and planning. In cooperation with our customers, we define and develop on the basis of an urban planning concept, the ecological, social and economic objectives, which are the necessities for a customized future-oriented and sustainable urban district. Because the ecological city planning is a process that is not only reduced on the technical expertise of planners, architects, engineers and scientists, we also assist with the information and communication with users and residents of the district.
This precauciously ensures, through interdisciplinary collaboration, that even the behavior of the occupants and users for their improvement of living conditions, is positively integrated since the very beginning. Each one recognizes that he can exert influence with his behavior on the living conditions of its district.
