The institute of applied energy simulation and facility management ifes/ ifes GmbH is successfully integrated for nearly 15 years in the market. “TÜV Rheinland” strengthens its position in the sustainable and energy-efficient design of buildings. TÜV Rheinland expands furthermore its range of services in the sustainable design and certification of real estate projects: the independent technical inspection agency TÜV has taken overthe in 1999 established institute of applied energy simulation and facility management ifes GmbH.

The Institute with its ten employees is dedicated to the sustainable development of energy and climate concepts with simulation and for the certification of real estates by various internationally acknowledged sustainability standards for buildings. Alike “TÜV Rheinland”, the “ifes” has also accompanied a number of prestigious real estate projects in numerous German congested areas, as well as abroad, and is a member of the German Sustainable Building Council and the Austrian Society for Sustainable Real Estates and the Building Research Establishment.

"ifes” complements the range of “TÜV Rheinland” in particular by dynamic building and system simulation programs for the implementation of climate, energy and facade concepts early in the design and planning phase. It is about energy issues as well as light simulations, fire and smoke extract analysis. In addition ”ifes” has already successfully certified numerous real estate projects by various Green Building standards.
Our certifications guarantee a high quality of economic efficiency, planning and cost control
In addition to certifications with the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB), the “ifes” also proceeds assessments based on the internationally acknowledged building certification system Leadership in Environmental & Energy Design (LEED) by the U.S. Green Building Council, as well as by the British Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM), and the system of the Austrian Society for Sustainable Real Estates (ÖGNI), according to more than 200,000 buildings that have been certified already. Furthermore, the “ifes GmbH” is accredited as a consultant by the “HafenCityHamburg GmbH” (HCH) and is therefore professionally qualified for auditing the documentation by the implementation of services for awarding the "HafenCityEcolabel - Sustainability in Construction".
